A large-scale operation led to the arrest of fourteen individuals and the seizure of criminal assets valued at €750,000, an unprecedented amount in the region. The operation mobilised nearly two hundred police officers and gendarmes, including units from the RAID and GIGN, principally in the Montbéliard area.
Paul-Édouard Lallois, prosecutor of the Republic, described the case as "superlative in every respect" during a press conference held Friday morning at the court premises. He outlined the scale of the drug trafficking network that was dismantled.
Law enforcement made arrests on Monday as part of an investigation that required exceptional resources. Coordination between police and gendarmerie services allowed multiple targets linked to the trafficking network to be struck simultaneously.
