A 22-year-old man with no criminal record was arrested in Angers after joining a drug trafficking operation by responding to an advertisement on Snapchat. Police discovered €16,000 worth of cannabis and €1,500 in cash at his home.

Between 11 and 21 April 2026, a 22-year-old man with no criminal history worked as a drug deliverer in Angers (Maine-et-Loire). His recruitment method was unusual: he applied on Snapchat in response to a job posting for a drug trafficking network.
Selected by the organisation, the young man was put in contact with a secretary and the various sector managers. The defence lawyer said he was "flabbergasted by the quasi-military organisation of this network".
During a search of the suspect's home, investigators discovered €16,000 worth of cannabis and €1,500 in cash. The criminal court delivered its verdict on 19 June 2026.
