Shooting in Marseille near Saint-Charles station: one dead, four wounded including two minors
A 20-year-old man was killed and four people wounded in a shooting at a bar in the 3rd arrondissement of Marseille. The public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation for murder and attempted murder in an organised gang context.

A shooting that occurred during the night of Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 August in Marseille claimed the life of a 20-year-old man and wounded four other people, one of whom has a life-threatening prognosis, according to France Info.
The incident occurred around 00:30, in a bar located at 4 rue d'Amiens, in the 3rd arrondissement, near a known drug dealing point, according to information gathered from the Marseille fire service. The establishment is situated not far from Saint-Charles station.
Victims aged 17 to 23
All the victims are men aged 17 to 23. Among the four wounded, two are minors, the Marseille public prosecutor's office specified. One of the injured persons has a life-threatening prognosis.
"One person has died and four, one of whom with a life-threatening prognosis, are wounded," the public prosecutor's office confirmed when contacted by ICI Provence.
Investigation entrusted to the organised crime division
The Marseille public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation on the charges of "murder" and "attempted murder, in an organised gang context and criminal association". The matter has been entrusted to the organised and specialised crime division (DCOS).
