Anti-drugs operation in Chautemps district: thirteen arrests and weapons seized

Google News FR — Crime (fr) reports that an anti-narcotics operation conducted by Montargis police station in the Chautemps district resulted in thirteen people held in custody, five placed in pre-trial detention and the seizure of two machine guns.

The checks, carried out over a period of fifteen days, mobilised several units of the National Police of the Loiret, the canine unit from Bourges — specialised in searching for weapons and currency — as well as CRS8, called in as reinforcement.

Of the thirteen individuals arrested, five were placed in pre-trial detention, including a minor transferred to a specialised facility. The others are subject to judicial supervision or a court summons. A money-laundering procedure linked to drug trafficking has also been opened.

The seizures made include 340 grammes of heroin, nearly four kilograms of cannabis resin, two machine guns and approximately 10,000 euros in cash.

"These operations demonstrate the significant mobilisation of police officers in the field to combat trafficking and contribute to the security of residents in the Chautemps district," Montargis police station declared.
