The State Police Northern Pierīga district has initiated an administrative offence procedure following an incident on a passenger train, reports Jauns.lv.

In late April, in the evening, whilst travelling on a railway transport vehicle heading from the capital to the Estonian city of Valga, a dispute broke out among passengers. Specifically, on 18 April, the train departed from Riga Central Station at 18.37 and arrived at its destination at 21.23. Law enforcement authorities are currently establishing the circumstances of what occurred and identifying the persons involved.

Investigators are asking the public to examine the man visible in the published photographs. Law enforcement officers are calling on anyone who recognises him or who has any information useful to the case regarding his whereabouts to come forward. Calls can be made to the unified emergency services telephone number 112.
