Officers of the Internal Security Agency have arrested two men suspected of working on behalf of a foreign intelligence service. Materials gathered by them were sent across the eastern border and used by the Lukashenko regime.

Officers of the Internal Security Agency have arrested two people suspected of cooperating with foreign intelligence services. A nineteen-year-old Belarusian citizen and a forty-four-year-old Pole were detained.
According to counterintelligence findings, the men received payment from Belarusian intelligence for participating in gatherings organised in the capital by Belarusian diaspora communities. During these meetings, they registered the participants present, took photographs and recorded video materials. The collected information was subsequently passed across the eastern border, where it served the services of Aliaksandr Lukashenko and the propaganda machinery of his regime.
Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesman for the coordinator minister of special services, confirmed that the objective of these activities was not only to obtain data, but also to exert pressure on diaspora communities, intimidate persons opposed to the authorities in Minsk, and strengthen the messaging of states hostile to Poland.
The court decided on the temporary arrest of the younger of the two detained individuals for three months. In the case of the older suspect, milder precautionary measures were applied: his travel document was seized, he was issued a ban on leaving the country, and placed under police supervision.
The investigation is being conducted jointly by the Rzeszów delegation of the ABW and the Lublin division of the National Prosecutor's Office. The case is ongoing in nature and further arrests cannot be ruled out. Previously, in November of last year, officers arrested three Belarusian citizens and two Ukrainians in the course of the same proceedings.
