PSP arrests four drug trafficking suspects in Elvas
The Public Security Police arrested four individuals in the city of Elvas, district of Portalegre, on suspicion of selling illicit substances. The arrests took place on Monday at three separate times, according to a statement from the District Command.
Those arrested are two teenagers aged 16, a 51-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man. The two adolescents were intercepted near a school in the locality. In the possession of the couple, 231 hashish doses, three containers of nitrous oxide (laughing gas), 90 euros in cash and various objects used for the packaging and preparation of narcotics were seized.
The older woman was carrying 28 doses of cocaine and 13 doses of heroin, as well as packaging materials. The 21-year-old man was transporting 85 hashish doses.
The four suspects were presented before the Elvas Court. The criminal proceedings now proceed to further investigations with the same court.
