Three detained for homicide and attempted murder in Cascais and Amadora following brawl in Carcavelos
The Judicial Police have detained three men aged between 18 and 21 years old suspected of homicide and attempted homicide with firearms in three separate but related incidents.

Google News PT — Crime reports that the Judicial Police, through the Lisbon and Tagus Valley Directorate, have detained three young men aged between 18 and 21 years old, with strong indications that they committed crimes of attempted and accomplished homicide using firearms in three separate but related situations. The victims were known to the suspects.
The first incident occurred on 29 June of last year at an esplanade at Carcavelos beach. Following a brawl, one of the suspects fired several shots that struck two people. He was detained in early July and, after his first judicial interrogation, was remanded in custody. In July of this year, he was sentenced to three years and six months imprisonment, with the sentence suspended, for the crimes of aggravated attempted homicide and carrying a prohibited weapon.
This initial episode triggered two subsequent attacks in the city of Amadora. On 4 April, in retaliation, a witness to the events that occurred in Carcavelos was struck by a gunshot to the abdominal region, requiring hospital treatment.
On 21 May, the father of that witness, a 43-year-old man, was struck by three gunshots and died in a hospital unit as a consequence of the severity of his injuries.
The investigations are being directed by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Cascais and Amadora District Public Prosecutor's Office.
