Judges at the Târgu Mureș Court of Appeal have rejected the appeal filed by singer Cristian Pomohaci, upholding his preventive detention measure for a period of 30 days. The decision is final and was published on the courts' portal.

The judicial decision was made on Wednesday, in the case file in which the soloist is suspected of selling psychoactive substances from the category of high-risk drugs. The investigation is being conducted by the territorial structure of the Directorate for the Investigation of Organised Crime and Terrorism in Târgu Mureș, with the assistance of officers from the Organised Crime Fighting Brigade.

At the beginning of June, investigators descended on the man's residence located in the county seat. During the searches, drugs of the 3-CMC type were discovered and seized, as well as a substantial sum of money, estimated at approximately two million euros, in several currencies.

Representatives of the Mureș County Police Inspectorate previously clarified that, over the past two years, the person in question allegedly acquired, stored and distributed to various users quantities of drugs in crystalline form. This is not the only legal problem facing the artist: he is already in police custody in another case, being accused of sexual acts with a minor.

Judges at the Mureș Tribunal adjourned, for the following day, the ruling on another appeal by the singer, the one relating to deprivation of liberty in the rape and sexual assault case.
