On Saturday evening, 5 June, the Koper Police Administration was notified of an alleged criminal offence related to sexual integrity. The report was received shortly after 21:00.
Following receipt of the notification, detectives and police officers immediately began actively gathering evidence and verifying all details of the incident. As part of swift action, one person was deprived of liberty and detained.
The police are currently not disclosing additional information about the nature of the incident, the identity of those involved, or the location where the alleged offence is said to have occurred. As they explained, any disclosure of such information could harm the course of the investigation. They also wish to protect the personal data of those involved.
The investigation has not yet been concluded. When it is possible to do so without detriment to the further proceedings, the prosecution authorities will inform the public of their findings.
