Four people face charges following anti-drug operation Courier
On Thursday 11 June, a large-scale anti-drug operation codenamed Courier took place. Officers from a specialised unit from the Police Force Presidium detained four individuals, to whom investigators have now attributed serious criminal offences related to the distribution and manufacture of prohibited substances.
Police searched several properties including residential homes. In total, they conducted four flat searches and five inspections of other buildings and land. During these searches, they discovered methamphetamine, mobile phones and a large amount of cash. This material will serve as evidence in further investigation.
Questioning of those detained is currently ongoing. Following its completion, the authorities responsible for criminal proceedings intend to request the court to remand them in custody. Due to the sensitivity of the case and the ongoing investigation, further details have not yet been disclosed.
