The Slovak Ministry of Finance has alerted the public to a fraudulent campaign operating via the internet. Unknown perpetrators have created a fake website offering money appreciation with high returns in a short timeframe. The fraud is disguised as an official institution.
The state authority urges people to be cautious of suspicious links. They should not share private information with anyone nor make any payments. The ministry has also warned that fake representatives are in no way employees of the ministry.
The ministry simultaneously confirmed that it never offers investment products to citizens through unverified internet portals and does not request financial deposits from them. The information was reported by the news website Refresher News.
