A choir teacher at Bangor Middle School and High School in Bangor, Wisconsin, has been arrested on allegations of child sex crimes, weau.com reports.

The La Crosse County Sheriff's Office, the Village of Bangor Police Department, and the Bangor School District issued a joint statement confirming the arrest of Paul Sadergaski.

According to the statement, an investigation into alleged inappropriate communication between Sadergaski and a student led law enforcement to recommend he be charged with grooming of a child for sexual activity.

During the investigation, authorities also uncovered content unrelated to Sadergaski's role at the school or the initial case. Law enforcement is additionally recommending he be charged with possession of child pornography.

Sadergaski is currently on administrative leave from the district, the joint statement adds.
