A 62-year-old Colorado Springs woman has been charged with second-degree murder and tampering with a deceased body after police discovered a dead man inside a home on Tappan Drive, krdo.com reports.

The suspect, identified as Sheldon "Shelly" Wilson, was among two adult women who arrived at the Police Operations Center on Saturday to report a dead body at the address. Officers responding to the home located the deceased man and handed the case to detectives from the Homicide Unit.

Wilson was one of the individuals who had initially brought the death to the attention of law enforcement. The identity of the second woman has not been made public.

The male victim's identity has not been released pending formal identification. Authorities have not disclosed the relationship between Wilson and the deceased.

The El Paso County Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death and establish a positive identification of the victim.
