Fox5atlanta.com reports that police in Smyrna, Georgia, discovered the dismembered remains of Shanteria Mosley — known to family and friends as "KT" — stuffed inside garbage bags in the trunk of a car at Park Valley Apartments.

Investigators said one of the bags "was pulled tightly showing the outline of a body part." Mosley worked as a DoorDash delivery driver and was not on duty the day she was killed, according to authorities.

The body was found during a check of the vehicle in response to a missing person report filed earlier in the week. Officials from the Cobb County medical examiner's office were called to the scene before the bags were opened to confirm they contained human remains.

Kingston Bradley, 18, of Smyrna, has been arrested and charged with malice murder and concealing the death of another in connection with Mosley's death. Police said Bradley lives with his father at the same apartment complex where the victim's remains were discovered.

Lt. Meredith Holt, public information officer for the Smyrna Police Department, described the crime as among the most disturbing of her career.

"This is a shocking crime. I don't know how else to describe it," Holt said at a Friday press conference. "I've been in law enforcement for 25 years, and I have been a part of multiple homicide cases, and I worked crimes against children for 16 years, and this is a particularly gruesome crime."

"I cannot imagine what the family is going through," Holt added.

Holt did not confirm whether Bradley and Mosley knew each other before the incident, stating that investigators are still working to establish how the two were connected.

Neither DoorDash nor family members of Mosley immediately responded to requests for comment.
