Officers from the Springdale Police Department responded at around 4:50 a.m. to reports of multiple gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they found Leonardo Ramirez suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers immediately began life-saving measures before Ramirez was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Several people were detained at the scene and are currently being interviewed by investigators. The Springdale Police Department stated in a news release that the incident appears to be isolated, adding: "There is no information of an ongoing threat to the general public."
