A 35-year-old Georgetown man has been sentenced to more than three decades in prison following a drug bust in December 2023, abcnews4.com reports.

Malcolm Archie was convicted on Thursday, after a four-day trial, on charges of trafficking fentanyl 28 grams or more and trafficking cocaine 200 to 400 grams, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office.

The case stems from a search warrant executed at a residence on Mercer Avenue in December 2023. During the search, investigators discovered more than 800 grams of fentanyl and more than 200 grams of cocaine.

Archie received a 33-year sentence on the fentanyl charge and 25 years for the cocaine charge, with both sentences running concurrently.

Officials stated that Archie must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for supervised release.
