Victim identified in fatal NE Portland parking lot shooting
Arturo Armas Jr., a 30-year-old Portland resident, has been identified as the man shot and killed in a Northeast Portland parking lot on Tuesday night, katu.com reports. The medical examiner ruled his death a homicide by gunshot wound.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 9:15 p.m. Tuesday following reports of a shooting near Northeast Airport Way and Glenn Widing Drive — a parking lot adjacent to a Home Depot east of Portland International Airport. Responding officers found Armas Jr. and a second man, both with gunshot injuries.
Both victims were transported to hospital. Armas Jr. died from his wounds; no update on the second man's condition has been released.
Investigators have notified the family of Armas Jr. The search for suspects remains ongoing.
