A Georgetown County jury has convicted Ryan Woodruff, 33, of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, wmbfnews.com reports. The verdict adds a third life sentence to the prison terms he is already serving for two earlier killings.

The conviction stems from the shooting death of Ty'Quez Walker, 19, on January 24, 2023. Walker had entered a home on that date to receive a tattoo from Woodruff, who shared the residence with his grandmother. Woodruff shot Walker in the chest, killing him. The 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office described the shooting as "drug-fueled paranoia," noting that Woodruff had been using large amounts of methamphetamine throughout the day.

At the time of Walker's murder, Woodruff was out on bond for the 2021 killings of two family members — Roger Woodruff and Debra Goins — whose bodies were found in their home on May 21, 2021. He was convicted for those killings in October 2024.

The four-day trial was presided over by a Circuit Court Judge, who sentenced Woodruff to life in prison without the possibility of parole on the murder charge, plus five years for the weapons charge.
