Six suspects arrested over wave of crimes in San Ignacio de Velasco

Six people were apprehended in San Ignacio de Velasco following a series of raids aimed at clarifying the murder of four people, reported El Deber. Among those detained are five Brazilian nationals and one Bolivian.

Colonel Celín Salas, national director of the Special Force to Combat Crime (Felcc), stated that the six are identified as alleged perpetrators of the violent acts being investigated in the Cruz municipality. He clarified that the foreigners would be linked to the criminal factions Primeiro Comando Capital (PCC) and Comando Vermelho (CV).

Salas advanced that it will be the authorities in Santa Cruz who will provide detailed information about those apprehended and their relationship to the violent crimes reported from that locality. The situation has already prompted the deployment of both Bolivian police and the Armed Forces on the streets of San Ignacio de Velasco.

The four most recent murders occurred last weekend. First, two people aged 22 and 36 were shot dead. Two days later, another double murder was recorded in a TikTok video: the victims were conducting a live broadcast when two subjects cornered them and murdered them.
