Vaud justice authorities have confirmed the conviction of a theatrical improvisation coach from Vevey to a four-year prison sentence for rape and sexual coercion committed against approximately ten young people during the 2010s.

The criminal appeals court of the Vaud cantonal tribunal this week upheld the sentence imposed on a theatrical improvisation facilitator resident in Vevey. Tried in first instance in August of the previous year for offences dating from the 2010s, the defendant received a final sentence of four years of effective imprisonment.
The magistrates found him guilty of sexual misconduct against approximately ten persons who were minors at the time. During the appeals hearing, the accused admitted to having maintained intimate relations with several of them, during alcoholic gatherings, entertainment of a sexual nature or prolonged liaisons. He nonetheless consistently denied any coercive element, arguing for the consensual nature of these encounters and rejecting any form of influence or domination over the complainants. "They were my friends," he stated before the judges.
The counsel for the victims received this decision as a clear message sent by the courts.
