On Monday, a 43-year-old Swiss man turned himself in to police in Delémont, approximately 80 kilometres west of Aarau. He suffers from "mental health issues" and has declined to make any statement since his arrest, said prosecutor Christoph Rüedi from the Swiss prosecution authority at a press conference.
Rüedi stated that police found two pistols and an AK-47 rifle in the suspect's car. The motive for the shooting has not yet been established. The 43-year-old had no previous record with Swiss police and is not connected to extremist groups.
