According to reports from the local government, the confiscated substances consisted primarily of cocaine and ketamine. The estimated value of the illegal merchandise on the European market would reach 8.3 billion dollars, equivalent to approximately 7.2 billion euros.
The operation represents one of the most significant drug seizures recorded in the region. The narcotics were hidden in shipments of timber destined for countries across the European continent.
