Detectives from the National Anti-Drug Centre have concluded an investigation into an extensive case codenamed Presto. Two men suspected of smuggling chemical substances intended for drug manufacturing now face a proposal for prosecution. The file has been submitted to the state prosecutor, in which criminal investigators recommend charging both suspects.

According to investigators' findings, the men repeatedly transported drug precursors from Poland to the Czech Republic for use in methamphetamine production. In addition, they were also involved in cocaine trafficking. During one of the operations, the vehicle's driver attempted to escape from a police patrol and stepped on the accelerator. The pursued vehicle reached speeds of up to 240 kilometres per hour.

Police attribute serious criminal offences to the suspects relating to unlawful drug production and possession of narcotics. Should the court find the defendants guilty, they face imprisonment of up to twelve years.
