Before the regional court in the case of a deceased boy from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a 37-year-old witness gave a serious account. He stated that the 30-year-old defendant had taken him to the location where the body was later found on 13 October 2024 – approximately 24 hours before she herself alerted investigators.
The man explained that the woman had insisted vehemently on visiting a particular pond near Klein Upahl. She had remained on the embankment whilst he descended. She had shone light with her mobile telephone and said something was lying there. The witness stated for the record that he could barely see anything due to the darkness. The moment had been a shock for him. Afterwards, both had returned silently to the vehicle.
Only the following day did the defendant inform police that she had discovered the boy by chance during a walk with the dog. According to the charges, the death occurred on 10 October. The woman allegedly killed the child with multiple stab wounds and set the body on fire. She has so far made no statement regarding the allegations; the presumption of innocence applies.
