In January, the football match between 1. FC Magdeburg and Dynamo Dresden was marred by severe rioting. Now, over half a year later, police have still not identified all the perpetrators and are therefore relying on a broad public manhunt.
The officers plan to shortly show images of persons suspected of involvement in the brutal incidents at the Avnet Arena. The violence involved physical confrontations in the stadium's circulation area. Investigators hope that by releasing the images they will receive information from the public that leads to the arrest of the sought-after hooligans.
The incident took place in the stadium circulation area during the so-called Elb-Clásico. Supporters of the FCM had caused considerable acts of violence. Since then, investigations have been in full swing. The planned manhunt operation should now be a further step towards clarification.
