Before the Rostock regional court, a witness was questioned who had discovered the body of an eight-year-old boy in a waterway near Güstrow. The man stated that he had found the child together with the accused.
The witness explained that it had already been night when they reached the location. He initially perceived an object on the ground and had taken it for a pipe. After he had bent down and touched something, the woman next to him screamed: "It's him."
The two had met over the internet and were meeting for the first time that day. The witness said that the woman had asked him to take her to a specific place. He had not been informed about what would be found there.
The investigators accuse the defendant of switching off her smartphone for an hour and a half during the presumed time of the offence. An acquaintance stated that this was unusual, as she had normally been permanently reachable.
A court pathologist also explained how the boy died. The descriptions were barely tolerable for those present.
