The autopsy report, whose details were transmitted to the AFP by a person informed of the investigation, establishes that the young girl was raped. The victim's body had been located on 4 June in a disused agricultural structure situated in Puycasquier, in Gers, following her disappearance. The anatomopathological examination is ongoing and the precise circumstances of the death remain to be determined.
A 41-year-old man, a father of family named Jérôme Barella, constitutes the central suspect in this investigation. The investigating magistrates have notably reproached him with facts of "kidnapping" and "unlawful confinement of a minor aged 15 years".
