Nine minor members of two criminal groups operating in the northern suburbs of Athens are now in the hands of prosecuting authorities. The groups were distributing psychotropic substances to minors, with two further individuals still being sought. The ages of those arrested range from 14 to 19 years old.

According to the Efimerida ton Syntakton, police officers have recorded revealing conversations between members of the groups, which document the method and scale of their activities.

In one of the conversations, a member describes his plans to set up ten selling points by June, with the aim of generating monthly revenue of ten thousand euros. He discusses financial transactions with an associate, mentioning amounts such as 50 euros, 100 euros and 135 euros for substance supplies. The same person speaks of the need to obtain fifty-euro notes, as someone else had already exhausted their stock.

In another conversation, a member describes the acquisition of a luxury BMW i8 vehicle, which is said to belong to the group. The car is described as extremely impressive, with a boot that opened upwards and space for ten bags. They discuss the acquisition of substances, mentioning that they took two bags for trial and that the product they obtained was of exceptional quality, with crystals that sparkled.

The prosecuting authorities are now investigating the origin of the substances, the distribution channels as well as the extent of their customer base, which concerned mainly minor students in the area.
