Arrest of 53-year-old man for drugs in the municipality of Kantanos Selinou, Chania
A 53-year-old man was arrested in Chania with cannabis, scales and grinders. The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Narcotics Prosecution Department.
Arrest for cannabis possession in Kantanos Selinou
According to creta24.gr, on 4 September 2026 a 53-year-old Greek citizen was arrested in an area of the municipality of Kantanos Selinou, in Chania, charged with violations of narcotics legislation.
Police officers from the Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Crime Prosecution and Investigation Directorate in Chania, in cooperation with the Crime Prevention and Suppression Team of Chania, conducted a search both at a business premises and at the suspect's residence.
During the search a small quantity of raw cannabis, 7.2 grammes of processed cannabis of the "chocolate" type, one set of scales and two cannabis grinders were found and seized.
The preliminary investigation into the case is being conducted by the Narcotics Prosecution Department of the Crime Prosecution and Investigation Directorate in Chania.
