A well-known criminal lawyer was found dead in his office on 3rd September Street in central Athens on Tuesday evening. According to ERT, police were notified shortly after 22:00 and strong police forces arrived immediately at the location, cordoning off the area.
Authorities are investigating the case as a criminal act. An indication of the seriousness is the fact that the preliminary investigation has been taken over by the Directorate for Combating Organised Crime.
At the same office, the criminal lawyer had handled significant judicial cases in the past. So far, no details have been disclosed about the injuries or the exact cause of death. Answers are expected to be provided by the autopsy.
