Drug network dismantled in Mykonos – 9 arrests, 'pink cocaine' and ecstasy seized
Police dismantled a criminal drug trafficking network in Mykonos, arresting nine members and the alleged leader. 'Pink cocaine', ecstasy and cash worth over €170,000 were seized.

Nine members of a criminal organisation involved in drug trafficking in Mykonos were arrested in the early hours of Friday, 21 August 2026, according to a police announcement. Among those arrested is the alleged leader of the network.
According to Philenews, the operation was carried out by police officers from the Drug Trafficking Prosecution Subdirectorate, which falls under the Organised Crime Confrontation Directorate (D.A.O.E.), with the assistance of Special Operational Units. Meanwhile, a 22-year-old was arrested separately for drug possession.
The operation was the result of systematic exploitation of intelligence, police investigations and data cross-referencing, as well as the profiling of those involved. Members of the organisation had assumed distinct roles in order to achieve their objectives.
From searches of residences in Mykonos and Attica, as well as vehicles and the belongings of those arrested, 'pink cocaine' and ecstasy were found and seized, among other drug substances. The total anticipated illegal financial gain from the sale of seized quantities and the confiscated cash sums is estimated to exceed €170,000.
According to police, four of those arrested have previously engaged the authorities for similar or other offences. Those arrested were taken to the competent prosecuting authority.
