A 54-year-old woman and her 26-year-old son were found dead in a single-storey house in the Longos area of Aigio, in a case that has shocked the local community. The woman's partner, a 65-year-old from Italy, was initially brought in for questioning and subsequently arrested for illegal possession of weapons.

According to a report by ETHNOS, the foreign national claims he was asleep during the time of the crime. When he woke up, he says, he found his partner and her child unconscious.

Investigating police officers have identified two significant pieces of evidence. The first is underwear with stains that appear to be blood, which has been sent for laboratory analysis to determine whether it is biological material from the victims. The second is a knife discovered buried in a plant pot in the house's courtyard.

From investigations so far, the prosecuting authorities believe that the young man was the primary target of the attack. He appears to have suffered a gunshot wound from close range from an air rifle and subsequently multiple blade wounds to the chest area. His mother bears additional wounds that suggest she attempted to defend herself and her child.

An air rifle was also found in the residence. The 65-year-old is expected to be brought before the judicial authorities in Aigio, and his detention will be decided following the completion of criminological examinations.
