A police officer who arrived first at the house in Aigio where a 54-year-old woman and her son were found dead described in detail the interior of the space and the demeanour of the Italian partner of the woman.

A police official from the Hellenic Police who was first to arrive at the scene described his initial view from inside the house in Aigio where two bodies were found. His testimony was broadcast via the programme "Revelations".
Upon entering the house, the police officer established that there were no signs of forced entry. Behind the entrance, in a prone position, lay the 54-year-old woman. Beneath her body were extensive bloodstains. This particular room was the only one that showed disorder. To the right of the door, a wooden shelving unit had been damaged — the upper part had detached and fallen to the floor. On the double bed, the silhouette of a person could be seen beneath a multicoloured cover. This was the 26-year-old son.
The young man was unclothed, lying on his side. On the right side of his head there was a clear gunshot wound at close range. On his chest there were four holes that resembled stab wounds. His mother, who was in the adjoining room and heard the noise, entered and was attacked with a blade, resulting in her death. Beneath her body a large kitchen knife was found.
On the floor a bullet casing was also found that had not been fired, while inside a storage unit there was a box containing 34 further bullets of the same size.
The officer also described the demeanour of the 65-year-old Italian, partner of the 54-year-old, when he was present at the scene. The foreigner appeared calm and unperturbed. He communicated in Greek without difficulty. When asked whether he had heard any noise during the night, he denied it. When he was pointed out that the sounds from the crime would be impossible to miss, he suddenly began claiming that he did not speak Greek, despite having resided in the country for at least 15 years and up to that point having understood all questions completely.
According to the police officer, the Italian is responsible for both deaths. He is alleged to have entered the 26-year-old's room while he was asleep and shot him at close range in the head. Because the bullet did not have sufficient force to penetrate the skull, the perpetrator subsequently used the knife. His mother, who heard the noise, entered the room and was attacked with the same weapon.
