Two men caught red-handed in Athens while breaking into home
Two men aged 34 and 35 were arrested on Saturday evening in Palaio Faliro during a burglary of a flat, following a report from the Immediate Action Centre.
Two men caught red-handed in Athens while breaking into home
On Saturday evening, police officers from the Immediate Action Centre rushed to a residence in Palaio Faliro following a call reporting a burglary in progress. There they found two individuals who had entered the balcony of the flat and were attempting to open the door.
The first, a 34-year-old foreigner, was found outside the flat. The second, a 35-year-old Greek national, was on the balcony. When they saw the police officers, they attempted to flee but were unable to do so. The police officers immobilised the men and placed them in handcuffs.
During the arrest, the foreign national allegedly attacked the police officers, offering resistance. The two arrested men were taken before a prosecutor, charged with burglary of a residence and assault against state officials.
