On the afternoon of Tuesday, 16 June 2026, a minor was sexually harassed by an unknown person while on a bus in Igoumenitsa. The child's mother immediately lodged a complaint with the local prosecuting authorities.
Police officers from the Criminal Investigation Sub-Directorate of Igoumenitsa responded immediately and within a short timeframe managed to locate and arrest the suspected perpetrator. The individual is a Greek national.
The arrested man is accused of indecent assault against a minor. The case has been referred to the District Prosecutor's Office of Thesprotia, which will examine the case file further.
