An unknown man attacked a young woman on Lycabettus, violently embracing her from behind and throwing her to the ground as she tried to escape.

An unknown man attacked a 22-year-old woman on Sunday evening in the Lycabettus area, shortly after 9 p.m.
According to information from the Hellenic Police released by Naftemporiki, the young woman was walking in the area when the perpetrator approached her from behind and embraced her violently. The 22-year-old resisted, managed to push him away and attempted to flee by running towards the slope of the hill.
During her escape, the woman fell to the ground and sustained injuries to her elbows and knees. The perpetrator, whose facial features were covered, abandoned the scene and escaped.
A passer-by who witnessed the incident chased the man, but was unable to apprehend him. The 22-year-old was taken to hospital for first aid.
The investigation to locate the perpetrator has been undertaken by the Exarcheia Security Department.
