Eight arrests were made by prosecuting authorities during a wide-ranging operation in areas of Attica. The operation was conducted with the participation of specialist police units and aimed at dismantling a criminal network that was operating in the region.
According to available information, this group is alleged to have played an active role in the illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances and firearms from the end of 2025. Among the eight people taken into custody is the person considered to be the head of the organisation.
From the subsequent investigations, significant quantities of substances as well as ammunition were seized. Investigations are continuing in order to establish whether those arrested had connections with other illegal activities.
