An alert was raised in the central square of Peristeri, where police officers proceeded to arrest seven teenagers aged between 13 and 16. The operation was organised following a telephone call from a resident who reported tension in the area.

Rapid Response Unit officers arrived quickly at the scene, conducted searches and ultimately took the seven young people to the station. During the investigation, a knuckleduster was found on one of them. At a nearby location, concealed beneath a parked vehicle, further weapons were discovered: a large kitchen knife, folding bayonets, driving gloves and a homemade cracker with nails – a find that was assessed as extremely dangerous.

The minors were arrested in flagrante delicto and charges were filed against them for violation of weapons law. The findings were sent for further laboratory examination.

The authorities are investigating whether the gathering had been planned as a confrontation. At present there is no confirmation of a supporters' background, whilst investigations continue to determine whether this is an isolated incident or part of a wider phenomenon of organised clashes involving minors.
