Six individuals were remanded in custody following lengthy testimony before an investigating magistrate and prosecutor at the courts of the former Evelpidon School. The process began at 11 a.m. on Tuesday and concluded shortly before midnight. The detainees are accused of involvement in a criminal organisation that allegedly operated within urban planning services and local government bodies.
During their examination, all denied the charges and claimed they had no involvement in the acts attributed to them. However, their explanations did not convince the judicial authorities, who ruled that they should remain in detention pending trial.
According to information from prosecuting authorities, the intercepted communications indicate an organised structure with specific roles for each person involved. Investigations are continuing with the aim of examining urban planning files to establish the full extent of the activity and identify any potential additional participants.
When the decision was announced, one of the accused felt unwell and required medical intervention from an ambulance crew that was present.
