A 65-year-old Italian national accused of the double murder of a 54-year-old woman and her 33-year-old son in Longos, Achaia, was granted a deadline to submit his defence statement on Friday.

The 65-year-old Italian national arrested for the double murder of a 54-year-old woman and her 33-year-old son in Longos, Achaia, was granted a deadline to submit his defence statement on Friday.
Although he has denied any involvement from the outset, a series of evidence gathered by authorities pointed in the opposite direction. For this reason, following communication between police and the prosecutor, charges were filed for double homicide.
The accused was brought before the investigating magistrate in Aigio, from whom he requested and was granted a deadline until Friday to prepare his defence.
