A 30-year-old Greek man has been remanded in custody for an armed attack on a store in Patisia. Two co-defendants, Albanian nationals, were released on restrictive conditions.

An armed raid on a mobile phone store in Patisia, which resulted in the injury of an employee, led to the arrest of three individuals. Last Wednesday, four people broke into the store. During the incident, they fired at the employee, shooting him in the legs.
Of the three arrested, a 30-year-old Greek man was remanded in custody following his interrogation, following a joint decision by an investigating judge and prosecutor. The other two, who are from Albania, were released on conditions. They were imposed a travel ban from Greece and ordered to report to the police station of their residential area three times monthly.
The 30-year-old claimed that the shooting of the employee did not come from his weapon, but from an accomplice who escaped arrest. The judicial authorities were not convinced and ordered his detention.
The fourth participant in the raid remains at large. The prosecution authorities are continuing investigations to locate him. The incident is being examined thoroughly, as the role of each person in the organisation and execution of the armed raid is investigated, as well as the escape of the perpetrators.
