Police officers from the Preveza Crime Investigation and Detection Division proceeded with the arrest of a Greek national for cannabis cultivation and possession.
Arrest for cannabis cultivation in Preveza
A man from the wider Preveza area has been detained by prosecuting authorities as part of targeted operations against the trafficking and cultivation of narcotic substances. The arrest took place on Sunday afternoon in a settlement near the city.
During a search of his vehicle, security officers discovered a small quantity of raw cannabis. This was followed by a search of his residence, where four cannabis plants, ranging in height from 7 to 55 centimetres, were discovered in the external area.
In total, authorities seized 13.9 grammes of raw cannabis. The arrested man was taken before the prosecutor with a file compiled against him for violations of the law on addictive substances.
