A foreign man, a member of a criminal group, was arrested on Sunday 14 June in Chalkidiki, according to reports from cnn.gr. The case file includes two other members of the network, whose details have already been identified by the authorities.
From police investigation it emerged that the gang was active between 27 May and 12 June 2026. During this period, its members carried out two armed robberies at shops in Chalkidiki and Pella, taking 5,600 euros and a mobile telephone.
At the same time, they committed ten burglaries of homes in Chalkidiki — one of which was an attempted burglary — with stolen goods including 5,000 euros, jewellery and other items. In a house break-in in Larissa, the group obtained 26,000 euros, whilst from a house in Thessaloniki, car keys were taken and subsequently the vehicle itself.
The arrested man was located by police officers in Thessaloniki, travelling in the stolen car, which was returned to its rightful owner. He was taken to the District Prosecutor of Chalkidiki, who referred him to the investigating judge.
The investigation is continuing in order to examine the possible involvement of the gang members in additional criminal offences.
