A 24-year-old was arrested in the city of Ioannina by police officers conducting a night patrol, in possession of a replica firearm and a hood.

A 24-year-old Greek man was apprehended by the prosecuting authorities in Ioannina after police officers from OPKE spotted him during a night-time check in the area.
Security officers, as part of a planned patrol, stopped the young man for inspection. During the search, two items were found that raised suspicion: a hood that covers the entire face, full-face type, as well as a replica revolver. This particular item resembles a genuine firearm on the outside, but is in fact a replica.
The arrested man was taken to the city's Police Department, where he was charged with violation of provisions governing the possession of weapons. The preliminary investigation was undertaken by the competent officers in Ioannina.
