A police operation in Kileler resulted in the arrest of two people for electricity theft, whilst 82 kilogrammes of copper cables were also discovered.

Police forces conducted checks on 20 June in areas of the Municipality of Kileler, as part of measures to combat crime. During the operation, over one hundred citizens and nearly fifty vehicles were inspected.

Six cases requiring further investigation emerged from the checks. Two of them were taken into custody, accused of illegally siphoning off electrical power. In their possession and at locations that were searched, copper cables with a total weight of 82 kilogrammes were found and seized.

At the same time, a file was opened against a third person on the charge that he was buying and selling goods originating from unlawful acts. In addition, forty-one road traffic code violations were recorded.
