Police forces recently dismantled two groups of teenagers who were engaged in selling substances to schoolchildren in the northern suburbs of the capital. The first group operated in Ekali, Drosia, Dionysus and Nea Erythrea, while the second operated in Thrakomakedones.

According to News 24/7, the groups recruited teenagers as couriers to distribute substances to their peers. Video footage that came to light shows the leader of the second group together with associates attacking two young people. One is on the ground whilst being struck because they owed money.

From conversations that were revealed, the 19-year-old leader of the second group expressed ambitious plans to expand his operations. In a discussion with a minor associate, he mentioned plans to set up multiple distribution points with the aim of high profits by summer.

In another conversation, the 17-year-old second in command of the first group boasted about a luxury car they used to transport the substances. According to material broadcast by MEGA, the discussions revolved around using the vehicle to transport packages of substances.

Both organisations had a structured hierarchy with leaders, assistants and supporting members. The prosecution authorities proceeded with arrests and the seizure of assets.
