On the evening of 21 June, police officers spotted the two young men moving in a private vehicle in Diabata. When they realised they were being stopped, they attempted to flee by accelerating. They entered a settlement in the area, but were immobilised and arrested by their pursuers.
During the subsequent search, the authorities seized €1,167, which was returned to the victim.
Two conviction orders were pending against the 23-year-old, which were sending him to prison for 12 months due to previous thefts. The arrested individuals will be brought before the prosecutor.
