Two Greeks and one foreigner were arrested as those responsible for a fire caused by negligence in a forested area between Pefka and Filiro.
Thessaloniki: Three arrests over forest fire in Filiro
Three people were arrested during summary proceedings for a fire that broke out earlier in a forested area between Pefka and Filiro in Thessaloniki. They are two Greek nationals and one foreigner, who were brought before the magistrate's court.
The fire broke out in a wooded area and mobilised ground and aerial units of the Fire Service. The firefighters managed to contain and bring the fire under control before it could cause greater damage.
One of the two Greeks was issued with an administrative fine of 3,093.75 euros. The three arrested individuals will be brought before the competent magistrate.
