The aggressor in the recording wears clothing bearing the Lonsdale brand — a British company whose symbols are frequently used by neo-Nazi groups as a marker of identification. The injured girl, most likely belonged to the same company, rather than being a chance passer-by.
Residents met by TV3 News journalists in Vērmanes Garden acknowledged that a group of shaven-headed men appear there regularly and regularly cause disturbances.
Police have established that the conflict captured in the video took place more than a year ago. The young people involved in the conflict have previously come to the attention of both Riga municipal police and the State Police — they have been identified and detained in connection with other incidents.
